How do I get a Silver Dollar fish to eat?

Silver Dollar fish, 10 years old, being treated for Pop Eye, and kept in a separate “hospital” tank. Antibiotics were given for 14 days. The fish has not eaten in 3 weeks. How do they sense food? Is there a way to entice the fish to eat? If feeding is based on a sense of smell, could the odor in the water from the antibiotics be making it difficult for the fish to sense food?

Garlic is said to be a taste attractant for fish.
I would try getting a clove of fresh garlic, mashing it up (preferably with a garlic press), and mixing it with the fish food. Then feed a normal amount of that food to the fish.

… But sick fish often won’t eat. That’s the main problem with using medicated foods as therapy, which otherwise would be ideal. Your fish recovering its appetite might turn out to be dependent on its recovery from popeye disease.

Silver dollars, though are resilient, and they are remarkable for their longevity. I had some that lived for over 15 years in my tank.
