Shaped Pendant Necklace

My sister in law has asked me what shape of necklace she should wear?
Specifically, she wonders whether the necklace should follow her face shape, eg. a collar for round faces, pendant for pointed, or the shape of the garment’s neckline. I must admit I’ve normally advised my clients to consider the garment’s neckline but now I’m wondering what other people think
