Some ethereal whisper, inaudible to mortal ears, in darkness speaks;

A haunting chaunt in quiet numbers flows, a voice without a face.

Like twinkling were-lights, the stars peep through dancing
A heavenly waltz, wheeling and spinning to an eerie music’s strain
Like giddy children of the azure, in fantastic fine formation,
While gently hum the constellations, a swinging melancholic refrain.

With passion welling, the sea’s bosom wide swells,
A highway of gold paved on its waters, resplendant shines,
And foamy flecks fly up to greet the vibrant humming air,
While the pulse of life throbs in its deep and murky mines.

And the music is lost upon the fragrant breeze, silent to mortal ears,
Drowned out by the tumultuous clash of thought, deaf to the music of the spheres.
