First time buying a fish: Easiest fish to take care of!?!? It has to be a small one!?
First time buying a fish: Easiest fish to take care of!?!? It has to be a small one.?Could anyone tell me what fish that is small and easy to take care of. This is my first time buying a fish! How can you indentify if the fish is a female or a male or pregnant? What are the signs of pregnancy for that fish? Please give a link for the picture of that fish(both female and male)!!!
Whats the name of the fish that eats rice or is herbavore?I also want a fish that does NOT require a big tank, since this is my first time buying a fish! The type of fish has to be freshwater.
I want a fish that will be able to stay in a fishbowl.
I also want livebearers/egglayers(doesn’t matter). I definately don’t want a fish that will KILL the other fishes.
You need to specify what you consider a big tank. I would have to say that after a year of experimenting with small tanks, anything under 10 Gallons ended up making me feel cruel. I would just get a ten gallon, or near there, and get it as a Hexagonal tank to save space.
DO NOT get fooled into buying small goldfish from a store, as over the course of around a year, they’ll be over 6 inches. I learned this quickly. 
If you want something easy to take care of, do not get livebearers. They breed extremely rapidly, and your tank will be crowded and dirty by the time you even get settled in with it. Also, if you’re wanting anything besides goldfish, you’re going to want a heater.
I’m going to have to say Tetras, for easiness. Although not as pretty and flashy as, say, a Betta (Which is extremely aggressive due to Territorial issues for males, and Heirarchy for females), it’ll give you some experience, they don’t get too big, and over time, you can start to introduce more of them to the tank.
