How to revise two sentenses?
She has long pearls combs that she wears in her hair sometimes. Her necklace that she wears has pearls, abalone, seashells and a small jade trident pendent. Are these sentenses okay?
They’re a little clumsy; try to simplify and be concise, while choosing words that express the maximum possible meaning.
I would put “She wore long pearl combs in her hair, and a necklace of pearl, seashells and abalone. A tiny jade pendant in the shape of a trident hung in the middle of her chest.”
But listen here Ms O’Malley, and pardon me for sticking my oar in; you spend far too much time worrying about character names and little details. Are you going to post every sentence on here for us to edit for you? You don’t need our approval; just get on with writing it! You’ll learn far more from the experience than we can teach you here, I promise. Practice is key in writing, and the skill of crafting a logical, coherent and satisfying story needs a lot more work than finding names for your characters!
