Akoya Cultured Pearls – Freshwater pearls are grown
Unlike natural pearls, which grow naturally in oysters and is now rare pearls also grow in oysters, but with some human help. Low mental tissue surgically implanted inside the oyster, and left the rivers, ponds, lakes or the sea grow naturally. Sometimes, the oysters are taken out of water to check the growth of pearls. Pearl farms regularly to monitor the growth and quality of pearls, but we have little or no human control pearl formation or growth, because it is a natural process and more so that water and climate, it is entirely left to Nature
The difference between a cultured freshwater pearls and Akoya cultured pearls are the oyster farming techniques and they are growing in. Also, Akoya cultured pearls are grown and cultured sea pearls, freshwater type is grown in rivers, lakes and ponds. It takes less time to grow cultured freshwater pearls, which is about 2-4 years, as Akoya pearls. Freshwater pearl oysters usually brings about 7-8 pearl harvest time, so it is more in the cultured freshwater pearls, akoya than their cousins pearls.
Akoya pearls are known for quality throughout the world and very famous, but with the recently improved production technologies cultivated freshwater pearl quality has improved significantly. Cultured freshwater pearls are much cheaper than the Akoya pearls, and there are many different colors of freshwater pearls available, such as white, black, peach, gold, lavender, pink and cream and so many designers are now a luxury to play with different colors freshwater pearl culture when it comes to making a beautiful pearl jewelry. Freshwater pearls are available now and a lot of high-quality pearls are equally lustrous. Akoya pearls luster is excellent quality and are preferred.
Cultured freshwater pearls are available in many sizes from 3mm to 9mm, but the most popular sizes are between 6-7mm and 7-8mm. Younger girls want to go to the lower amount of freshwater cultured pearls, but again is a personal matter of taste and style.
