The types of IMAFs are hydrogen bonding, ionic bonding, dipole-dipole moment and van der waals. (in order of decreasing strength). Hydrogen bonding occurs between H-O, H-F or H-N. Ionic bonding occurs between ions (like salts). Dipole-dipole occurs between two molecules that both have dipole moments, and everything else has van der waals forces.
