Were you in high school around the “grunge” days, back in the 90′s? What are your fondest memories?
I lived around the NYC area and they were really good times, the club kids, “designer drugs”, pink floyd,
pearl jam and nirvana, the gap, flannel shirts….
I remember:
- heated arguments over who was better out of Nirvana & Pearl Jam
- people losing their minds when Pearl Jam released “Ten”, and thinking Alive was the best song ever written
- wearing nothing but cut-off jeans and flannel shirts
- trying to grow your hair long, even if you’d never had long hair in your life
- people trying to work out the lyrics to Smells Like Teen Spirit, and what they meant
- anyone who played guitar adopting Cobain’s playing style (leaning forward with your hair falling over your face)
