Coral Pendant Necklace

how do i attach a pendant with no hole to a necklace with string?
i have a small piece of coral that i found on the beach that i’d like to attach to a necklace.
I dont want to use wire, i want to use just plain threading string and somehow wrap it around the top part of the coral and attach it to a piece of hemp. and its not thick enough to put a hole in.
i cant seem to find it anywhere on how to do this, but i know its possible, i’ve seen someone with one before.

You need to cement a pendant loop to the piece of coral. They come in different styles. Here’s a photo of one.
