What is wrong with my branching hammer coral?
I just got a branching hammer frag from one of my local reef club members, and im not sure if its suppose to look like this. Half the tips are green, and half are brown. Its not slimey or anything, its just brown. Will it gain its color later on? Is it dying? http://img30.imageshack.us/img30/2430/img00612m.jpg this is a picture of it. Thanks!
Sometimes they just need to get established here. Be sure your calcium levels are up to par.
They can range in color or even be multi colored so I wouldn’t worry too much as of yet. they tend not to do well once fragged and moved since most are not used to handeling them. Some may die off but for the most part others will replace and he should be fine.
Just remember this coral doesn’t play well with others!
