how can i make an aztec gold POTC coin/pendant?

how can i make a replica coin of the one used in Pirates of the Caribbean curse of the black pearl. i have searched on the internet for the proper thing but it is too expensive. I have very basic tools (i do have access to a laser cutter at school though). How can i do this successfully?

Use polymer clay. Easy medium to work with. Doesn’t require a kiln. Paintable, moldable, durable., replicable.
