How much would you pay for a pearl necklace??

Hi… I have this pearl necklace that i want to sell but I have no idea for how much should I sell it, I mean everytime I go to a loca jewelry I find out that they are quite expensive depending of the size and how round they are, but when I see some asian stores…I see they sell it very cheap… so ..I found myself very depreseed lol…since I saw that my pearls are not round …they look oval, maybe more like an oval potato lol but are not baroque, and some of them have some lines across, but they are quite big, about 10 mm … hmmmm so that makes me wonder…how much shpould I sell it for? considering that asian contries sell them so cheap but north american countries seel it so expensive…hmmm btw when you wear it it looks very nice though …so any help here? Thank You!

take it to a jewelry store, not one found in the mall, and not an asian jewerly store. Just a very good jewelry store and have them appraise it. Chances are it is worth a lot of money, even if the pearls are slightly oval. If the pearls are all uniformly (i think i made that word up ) oval then that affects the price too (thats a good thing.) It is probably worth a lot of money and I wouldn’t sell it for anything less then what they are worth. DON’T take it to a pawn shop and definately DO NOT sell them on Ebay, especially if they are worth a lot. But unless you really need the money, I wouldn’t sell them if I were you. Pearls make great jewelry for dressed up or dressed down, and you can keep them forever, especially if you are careful with them.
