How do I tell if I have real gold?
I recently found a little capsule near my house. Air-tight capsule, with cotton ball underneath and a very small “gold necklace”.
How do I tell if it’s real or not. The capsule has a sticker but it’s in an asian language. It only has one recognizable symbol which is the number 18 in bold.
As for the necklace itself, It’s really shiny, which is why my friend thinks it’s real. I can’t find anything where it might say Karats or anything. On the Clasp it has what looks to be 6666.
My friend told me to go to a pawn shop, see if I can get anything. But I would like to know if it’s real, it’s value, etc. before I do anything. Any help would be appreciated.
