Australian South Sea
Are there Canadians on here who have traveled to Australia?
And which Federal states of Australia did you like the best?
1) New South Wales – Sydney, Nat’l capital of Canberra
2) Queensland – Great Barrier Reef and Coral Sea
3) Melbourne
4) South Australia – Adelaide
5) Western Australia – Perth
6) Northern Territory – Alice Springs and Darwin…..
7) Francophone Australia (just kidding, no such thing)
Wouldn’t it be lovely to visit Australia and have friendly Canadians meet friendly Australians? They’d get along well/
Sydney Australians need to penpal Toronto, Ontarioans
Queenslanders are a bit like Albertans, kind of the Conservative zone
South Australia I would pair up with the Canadian Maritimes…. fisheries and sailors on the cape
Western Australia is more like BC, Canada sunshine coast maybe
Northern Territory, interior Australia… closest kin…. Saskatchewan…. how about that?
I preferred Tasmania actually. Been there twice.

South Sea Islander $74.88 Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The Australian label South Sea Islanders refers to the Australian descendants of people from the more than 80 islands in the Western Pacific including the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu (formerly the New Hebrides) in Melanesia and the Loyalty Islands, Samoa, Kiribati, Rotuma and Tuvalu in Polynesia and Micronesia who were recruited between the mid to late 19th century as labour in the sugarcane fields of Queensland. Some were kidnapped or blackbirded into longterm indentured service. At its height, the recruiting accounted for over half the adult male population of some islands. These people were generally referred to as Kanakas, although many Islander descendants now regard the term as pejorative and an insulting reminder of their ancestors exploitation at the hands of white planters.
